"I wanted to thank you for an interesting and informative presentation. Everyone there enjoyed it and took with them some new ideas and even suggestions on where to shop and what/how to buy. The group was cozy enough where no one felt uncomfortable in sharing or asking any questions."

Georgia came into my life to do a closet makeover at a time after I had lost some weight, was in a new dress size and when I was moving to my present position. Georgia was able to look at me and assess what colors and types of clothing were best for my career and personal life. (More)

"Is there a gold mine in your closet?"

If shopping would be an Olympic Sport, I'd be a gold medalist. If like me you are a marathon shopper you might be sitting on a untapped gold mine in your closet. What about all those clothes you bought and never wear, all those great outfits that you had to have and still have the tags on them, what about those that don't fit or no longer fit into your life style.

When a dear friend of mine retired from her Corporate Job in a Fortune 500 company, she called me to come over because she wanted me to help her clean out her closet and get rid of three quarters of the things she knew she wasn't ever going to wear anymore. She had been a great fan of Ellen Tracy , Dana Buchman, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. There were at least 50 suits she knew she would never need again so she wanted to give them to me. Although I love her dearly and we are the same size, the last thing I needed was more clothes. I told her that she had a little treasure trove between two walls and that I was going to show her how she could make some money and at the same time accomplish what she wanted initally, to get rid of those things she no longer wanted.

We carefully examined the articles, made sure they were all in tip top shape and them we took them to a very wonderful upscale consignment shop not far from her home. The shop owner was delighted to get the stuff and was oohing and aahing over the suits, dresses, pants suits and shoes that we deposited with her. She already told my friend that there were two or three of her regular customers that she was going to call that very day to come in as they had those designers on their wish list.

My friend was pleased and we both felt that we had accomplished our mission. About a month later, I received a call from my friend who excitedly told me that she had just opened her mail and had gotten a check from the consignment shop for $750 and a note from the owner telling her she could expect another check next month as most of her stuff had already sold and asking her to go thru her closets again to see what else she might want to bring in.
